Bootlegger Industries was founded by Chris Slagle, a lifelong mechanic who began his journey working on his dad’s ’97 Dodge. In 2010, Chris opened his first shop, Bootlegger Diesel, which closed in 2016. Chris later worked at a dealership but found the experience unfulfilling. He began helping a friend maintain FedEx trucks, fire trucks, and ambulances and realized he wanted to open his own shop again. He went out on his own doing FedEx work in a small shop, quickly outgrew his initial space, and moved to a larger facility – the old Fox Auto body shop. The shop now features eight bays and two lifts. Now, with a bustling operation that includes maintaining police, FedEx, and fleet vehicles, Bootlegger Industries continues to grow and serve the community with unmatched dedication.
